General Description
Every major radio communications system in the world, including AMPS/PCS1900, GSM/DCS1800/PCS1900, DECT, IS-136A, PDC AND PHS can be evaluated using just one MT8801B Radio Communications Analyser, covering the 300kHz to 3 Ghz frequency band in one hardware platform and the dedicated measurement software options. The call processing test and sensitivity test using the loop back method are possible for GSM/DCS1800/PCS1900, DECT and ISA-136A. In addition, connection testing and send testing while communicating is possible for PDC and PHS measurement by the call processing function and the PDC uplink RCH can be monitored (RSSI, estimated error rate) aswell. FM Radio transmission/reception tests are simplified by using the optional analogue measurement function and the optional spectrum analyser (supplied) function covering 10MHz to 3GHz is very useful for maintaining and measuring spurious near carrier on production lines or on-site automated test systems. The time required for testing equipment is greatly reduced using high-speed adjacent channel power and occupied bandwidth measurement functions based on Anritsu's propriety measurement algorithm and DSP. Furthermore, major transmission test items such as transmission frequency, modulation accuracy (phase error), transmission power. rise/fall characteristics of burst wave, adjacent channel power etc can be measured and judged pass/fail for the limit value of each item.
